Ahhhh yes, 1992, "core". One of the best albums released that year. Early 90's were a great time with the onset of "grunge".

Although Empire was their breakout album, I liked Operation: Mindcrime a lot better.

The Stone Temple Pilots sucked.Queensryche, Quiet Riot, Ratt, Armored Saint, etc. et al. all rocked.

now, now...just cause your time was spent rocking the mullet, wearing your oakleys, and hanging in the lots on broadway, sporting your megadeath t shirts don't mean that grunge was that bad. Just because the hair bands stopped, doesn't mean rock died.

Loved all of Mindcrime. Empire was pretty decent though I can't stand to hear Silent lucidity ever again. All of Queensryches great stuff and they keep playing that syrupy mess over and over.
