I got b*tched out today as I opened my store cause I displayed my goods in the middle of their walking path.Well take your walks before 10 am cause I pay 15 bucks a square foot and after 10am it is mine till 9pm

You don't drive me nuts minnow! Your comments are quite offensive most of the time but I've learned to accept that this is your lack of intelligence. Spidey, I can't imagine anyone actually claiming him as family!

I doubt they were potential customers. Most mall walkers are there just to walk, but some of them love to complain and pretend like they might buy something.

Well ... he had to have born to someone. A Mom ... perhaps even a Dad. They have to be working parents to be able to provide a computer and internet service to this "kid".
I wonder if ... when kid-o was born ... the Dr slapped the parents insead of the baby

Geo, how much "out-front" space are you given by your contract with the mall, and what kind of display did you have out? Just curious. If your contract permits you to do it (and if the nature of the displays is conducive to it), why not set out a tape outline around the displays in thick red electrician's tape? People respond surprisingly well sometimes to unobtrusive barriers as they're being steered into another path.

just throw a few nickles about 5-10 ft away from store front. They will spot em for sure, plus you will be helping them stretch as they bend over to pick em up.

Clovis .. that's a very good idea. I've seen that done before and it works very well.
And Geo .. instead of getting mad at them ... hand out coupons as they walk by ... make small talk and make new customers. I'm sure some will be happy, but the grumbly ones will stay far away from your area if they see you doing that

I like the nickels idea. Good humor. I agree with the tape and coupons. Floor tape is almost like a cop’s “do not cross into evidence zone” tape 
. Coupons given to people that don’t want them is the same as those religious groups that come to your door without being invited 
. I think you’re correct. They probably will stay further away after that.
