Check out this short excerpt from the Globe site...In MC, the county sheriff investigates the city council!!!"it was learned the Cerro Gordo
County Sheriff's Office has started an investigation into
whether the City Council violated the state's Open Meetings

Here the Sheriff won't do that because he knows his own county board has done the same thing...but also gave him what he wanted in way of too much pay.And people wonder why AL is inbred...

Maybe the sheriff will look into open meeting violations with the new PA board if they try to convene as a private board.They are a public board responsible for spending public monies, that means the open meeting law applies to them. If they convene as a private body they will be in violation of the open meeting law.
If they are to stupid to understand the open meeting law then why would anyone think that they are qualified to be on the port authority board?
Well I guess if they are stupid enough to hire Paul Sparks as their director they've already proven their stupidity.

Instead we can have a reporter that sits in a meeting where circumventing the open meeting law is openly discussed and he doesn't even report on it or look into it.
Maybe that's one of the reason Mason City is growing and Albert Lea is stagnant.
