The military does not leave it's own to die only civilians in the chain of command do that, the attack didn't fit the story that was being pushed for chairman 0's election so they left them to die. I guess more "bumps in the road" I know "it's not optimal" but his re-election campaign must go on regardless of body count.

top military leaders relieved of their command, namely general ham & admiral gaouette. from what i have gleaned from the press is that their reliefs were due to the events & consequent actions at benghazi. it seems the military has a different attitude when it comes to protecting our interests & citizens abroad! it reminds me of mcarthuer & truman only this is more subtle! i wonder is the military starting to rebel against the curent administration & their political decisions?

At one of my very first breakfasts, while Berger and Cohen were engaged in a sidebar discussion down at one end of the table and Tenet and Richardson were preoccupied in another, one of the Cabinet members present leaned over to me and said, “Hugh, I know I shouldn’t even be asking you this, but what we really need in order to go in and take out Saddam is a precipitous event — something that would make us look good in the eyes of the world. Could you have one of our U-2s fly low enough — and slow enough — so as to guarantee that Saddam could shoot it down?” The hair on the back of my neck bristled, my teeth clenched, and my fists tightened. I was so mad I was about to explode. I looked across the table, thinking about the pilot in the U-2 and responded, “Of course we can ...” which prompted a big smile on the official’s face. “You can?” was the excited reply. “Why, of course we can,” I countered. “Just as soon as we get your ass qualified to fly it, I will have it flown just as low and slow as you want to go.” The official reeled back and immediately the smile disappeared. “I knew I should not have asked that...” “No, you should not have,” I strongly agreed, still shocked at the disrespect and sheer audacity of the question. “Remember, there is one of our great Americans flying that U-2, and you are asking me to intentionally send him or her to their death for an opportunity to kick Saddam. The last time I checked, we don’t operate like that here in America.” < http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id...-airman > Posted by Funkadelic Zombie Hunter on Oct. 30 2012,8:14 pm
Somebody high up in the administration told them to stand down or do nothing from what I have seen in some of my travels on the net nothing hard yet but it will come somebody IS going down for this it's a matter of time there will be a whistleblower.

The information I heard today was that General Ham as head of Africom received the same e-mails the White House received requesting help/support as the attack was taking place. General Ham immediately had a rapid response unit ready and communicated to the Pentagon that he had a unit ready. General Ham then received the order to stand down. His response was to screw it, he was going to help anyhow. Within 30 seconds to a minute after making the move to respond, his second in command apprehended General Ham and told him that he was now relieved of his command. Reports that I've read believe that there were 2 U.S. drones in the area. There was also a Specter gun ship (C-130?) in the area for backup. This would make sense since the Tyrone Woods was painting a target which was believed to have been an enemy Mortar unit. A blog post from a person claiming to be a former Delta Operative stated the following: “Having spent a good bit of time nursing a GLD (ground Laser Designator) in several garden spots around the world, something from the report jumped out at me. One of the former SEALs was actively painting the target. That means that Specter WAS ON STATION! Probably an AC130U,” an airplane. A ground laser designator is not a briefing pointer laser. You do not ‘paint’ a target until the weapons system/designator is synched; which means that the AC130,” the Hercules, “was on station. Only two places could have called off the attack at that point; the WH situation command (based on [presidential] direction) or AFRICOM commander based on information directly from the target area.” “If the AC130 never left [Italy] (as Penetta says) that means that the Predator that was filming the whole thing was armed. If that SEAL was actively ‘painting’ a target; something was on station to engage! And the decision to stand down goes directly to POTUS!” No wonder they were trying to blame it on a youtbue video. The left can make all the excuses they want for Obummer, but if it looks like crap and it smells like crap, then guess what? It's crap. Posted by usmcr on Oct. 30 2012,10:27 pm

Facebook protecting Obama?QUOTE RELEASE: Facebook Censors the SEALs FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE October 30, 2012 Contact: Alex Rosenwald Phone: 202.558.6640 alex@politicalmedia.com Facebook Censors the SEALs Facebook squelches free speech to protect Obama from Benghazi-gate Today, the founders of Special Operations Speaks PAC – an organization founded by Special Operations veterans dedicated to protecting our forces at home and abroad – released the following statement after Facebook twice censored their meme criticizing President Obama for refusing to save the lives of former Navy SEALS in Benghazi. The meme simply stated, “When Obama called the SEALs, they got bin Laden. When the SEALs called Obama, they got denied.” The meme spread virally throughout Facebook’s network and within in 24 hours almost 30,000 people shared and hundreds of thousands viewed the meme. The meme was taken down for an unspecified violation of Facebook’s terms of Rights and Responsibilities. “It looks like Obama’s liberal followers in Facebook HQ are terrified of how damaging the Benghazi scandal is for the President. We understand that Facebook can run their site however they’d like, but when they’re trying to quietly squelch opposition to what is a clear leadership failure that resulted in the tragic deaths of some of our nation’s heroes, they deserve the to be called out on it,” said Larry Bailey, CAPT (SEAL), USN (Ret). “We are paying advertisers on Facebook. It is outrageous that Mark Zuckerburg, founder of Facebook, who worked to elect Obama in 2008, would sell out patriots who made the ultimate sacrifice – all to serve the political ambitions of the man who let them die.” “Americans across the country deserve the truth about what happened in Libya, and they certainly deserve to know when people who hold the keys to a lot of their online communications are trying to keep that from them,” continued Colonel Dick Brauer, Jr., USAF (Ret). “This whole affair has become the poster child for liberal arrogance and incompetence – from the President’s complete leadership failure in Libya to the liberal media’s desperate efforts to keep this out of the hands of the American people across the spectrum from broadcast news to social media. I hope they’ll stop this shameful game and stop sacrificing the truth – and Americans abroad – in the name of politics.” < Special Operations Speaks > < http://specialoperationsspeaks.com/ > Posted by Rosalind_Swenson on Oct. 31 2012,12:10 pm

I'll include the link for the Rush Limbaugh transcript that you're quoting. < Rush Transcript: Latest from Benghazi > Or, you could check the source that Rush had heard about, which is < a random un-named blogger quoted by Blackfive website >. But, Blackfive and Rush at some points will specify that these sources are very trusted. And, when blogs and talk radio specifically say that UN-named bloggers they're using as sources are trusted, you know that you can throw critical thinking skills out the window. So, you've got a guy that used to point a laser for the DoD who apparently knows that this whole thing is Obama's fault. Because, pointing a laser would require knowledge of all of this, WH situation room and all. I admit, I was skeptical until I heard that a caller to the Rush Limbaugh show corroborated his story, since the caller identified himself as another person with knowledge of how this is all Obama's fault. Of course, this could all be me or another random person making blog posts and calling AM radio to see how many people will believe it. But so far we've got blogs and a political action committee. I'd love to see credible information on this though, if there really is a scandal. So far this sounds like birth certificates and Fast and Furious, now that Issa's committee has run out of steam there had to be another scandal brought up. And before that it was Swift Boaters. But I searched the quoted material and immediately my main hits are from random blogs who are using other random bloggers are sources, and Rush quotes the bloggers who quoted the guy who used to point lasers in garden spots. ^Fascinating response, as always. It's almost as thought provoking as your "get a clue" posts, or nicknames like Kaptain Kreepy. Now, back to the topic. Over 3,000 die because the POTUS ignores warnings and doesn't order a military response in time. He had just "walked into office" (nine months before), and was busy reading a book to elementary school kids. Soon after the deaths he finishes reading the children's book, his approval ratings skyrocket and he wins the accolades of conservatives for "keeping us safe". Years later another POTUS is said to have ignored warnings and doesn't order a military response in time. Three Americans die in Libya. It turns into a "gate" type of scandal and some blogs say it's the next Watergate. He "LIED, People DIED" they claim. The "SEALs" are furious, and I don't mean the elite Navy Sea, Air, and Land Teams, but obviously I'm refering to the SEAL PAC (political action committee). Oh yeah, the three that died in the more recent story were in Benghazi, the 3,000 that died on 9/11 were in the Continental U.S. of A. We have a myriad of documents relating to the whereabouts of those terrorists as well as their receipts for every trip to Wal Mart and State Dept. Visas. In Libya? Well, even most republicans were claiming it was a youtube video and arguing over 1st Amendment rights until FOX told them otherwise. But, forget about all the facts from above, the important talking points are: Bush "kept us safe" and "Obama LIED, People DIED!" Posted by Self-Banished on Nov. 02 2012,12:04 pm

Oh poo, whistle-blowers are all just disgruntled bitter people telling lies, or just plain-whacked-out-kooks . An ongoing Congressional investigation across five House Committees concerning the events surrounding the September 11, 2012, terrorist attacks on U.S. facilities in Benghazi, Libya has made several determinations to date, including: Reductions of security levels prior to the attacks in Benghazi were approved at the highest levels of the State Department, up to and including Secretary Clinton. This fact contradicts her testimony before the House Foreign Affairs Committee on January 23, 2013. In the days following the attacks, White House and senior State Department officials altered accurate talking points drafted by the Intelligence Community in order to protect the State Department. Contrary to Administration rhetoric, the talking points were not edited to protect classified information. Concern for classified information is never mentioned in email traffic among senior Administration officials. < http://www.pdfdownload.org/pdf2htm...ges=yes > Some interesting stuff coming out of the investigation so far. A big part of the security for Benghazi was local Islamist militia men for the area. After an IED was sent over the wall of the compound last summer, a different Islamist militia group did the investigation of the "suspect Islamist security people". State Department people keep saying budget concerns is the main reason security was so poor in Benghazi, but the last couple of years they've been spending god-only-knows how much money on making their embassies "green". < http://www.leagueofgreenembassies.org/?page_id=393 > This project alone, building a new embassy in Manila: < http://manila.usembassy.gov/leedgoldaward.html > Democrats blaming republicans, republicans blaming democrats. Good grief, let's fire all of them. This whole Benghazi thing is so ridiculously fishy. Posted by Rosalind_Swenson on May 06 2013,9:46 am
Maybe the reason nobody made much of a fuss about the other embassy attacks is because no Americans were killed? I'm not trying to be a biitch or anything, but it sure seems like most of the media, and most American citizens in general put much more stock in American lives than the lives of citizens in other countries. I am not in any way saying that what happened at Sandy Hook or in other incidents where children are killed violently in this country are not tragic and horrible. When those things happen here people go nuts and it's all that's talked about, but when we impose sanctions that kill innocent children and people in other countries, when we drone strike innocent children and people in other countries, most people just don't seem to care about those things much at all. Some people even have the attitude : "Well, that's what they get for living in such a dirt bag country and not doing anything to fix things." Posted by MADDOG on May 06 2013,10:03 am

There are a few things we do know for sure. This was a terrorist attack from the start. It was Al Qaida backed, therefore they are not on the run. The CIA knew it as did the State Department. The CIA and our staff in Benghazi told their superiors. Our staff in Libya asked for additional protection before the raid and were turned down by the head of State. The Libyan government knew it was an Al Qaida backed attack and told Washington. The fact that it was a terrorist attack were purposely left out of any report that the mainstream media reported. We know that the heads in the White House and State Department knew this was a terrorist attack and neither will fess up. We know from testimony of staff in Tripoli that a Special Ops team in Tripoli was ordered to not make the two hour flight to Benghazi. We do know that someone is lying and the common denominator through all these lies for the past 8 months has been the White House and staff.I am expecting the House Oversight and Government Reform committee to continue to persue this likely to the point of supoenaing Hillary Clinton. She will problably loose her cool again like the last time she dodged the answer- “With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night decided to go kill some Americans? What difference at this point does it make?” When that happens and her nerves start to unwind, she will throw someone under the bus. She's done it before. It's her nature. No one is providing answers as to what Obama was doing during all this. I mean, remember all the photos of the situation room when our seals took out Osama? The place was packed. The White House couldn't wait to distribute the photos. Funny, we don't have any photos of him in the situation room while one of our embassies was being over run. Wait...it gets better. Recently a story broke about the IRS targeting conservative groups and the IRS subsequently admitted to it. Jay Carney (the official white house whore) comes out and basically blames Bush stating the head of the department was appointed by him. Can you believe this? No shame. I always find it ironic how so many conservatives claim to care about 4 American deaths in Benghazi, when they voted for George W. Bush twice. You remember him, right? The President responsible for over 5,000 American deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan, who had intelligence prior to 9/11 yet did nothing, who invaded a country with the threat of WMD’s (yet found zero) and while Bush was President we saw 11 embassies attacked by terrorists.

QUOTE Former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates forcefully defended the Obama administration on Sunday against charges that it did not do enough to prevent the tragedy in Benghazi, telling CBS' "Face the Nation" that some critics of the administration have a "cartoonish impression of military capabilities and military forces." Gates, a Republican who was appointed by then-President George W. Bush in 2006 and agreed to stay through more than two years of President Obama's first term, repeatedly declined to criticize the policymakers who devised a response to the September 2012 attack on a U.S. diplomatic facility in Benghazi, Libya, that left four Americans dead, including the U.S. Ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens. "Frankly, had I been in the job at the time, I think my decisions would have been just as theirs were," said Gates, now the chancellor of the College of William and Mary. "We don't have a ready force standing by in the Middle East, and so getting somebody there in a timely way would have been very difficult, if not impossible." he explained. Suggestions that we could have flown a fighter jet over the attackers to "scare them with the noise or something," Gates said, ignored the "number of surface to air missiles that have disappeared from [former Libyan leader] Qaddafi's arsenals." "I would not have approved sending an aircraft, a single aircraft, over Benghazi under those circumstances," he said. Another suggestion posed by some critics of the administration, to, as Gates said, "send some small number of special forces or other troops in without knowing what the environment is, without knowing what the threat is, without having any intelligence in terms of what is actually going on on the ground, would have been very dangerous." "It's sort of a cartoonish impression of military capabilities and military forces," he said. "The one thing that our forces are noted for is planning and preparation before we send people in harm's way, and there just wasn't time to do that." < http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-34...ability > Posted by Common Citizen on May 13 2013,1:24 pm

QUOTE Neither side wants to talk about the real lesson of Benghazi: interventionism always carries with it unintended consequences. The US attack on Libya led to the unleashing of Islamist radicals in Libya. These radicals have destroyed the country, murdered thousands, and killed the US ambassador. Some of these then turned their attention to Mali which required another intervention by the US and France. Previously secure weapons in Libya flooded the region after the US attack, with many of them going to Islamist radicals who make up the majority of those fighting to overthrow the government in Syria. The US government has intervened in the Syrian conflict on behalf of the same rebels it assisted in the Libya conflict, likely helping with the weapons transfers. With word out that these rebels are mostly affiliated with al Qaeda, the US is now intervening to persuade some factions of the Syrian rebels to kill other factions before completing the task of ousting the Syrian government. It is the dizzying cycle of interventionism. Santorini, even the Libyan officials said the Benghazi attack was premeditated and had nothing to do with a protest about the video. QUOTE The Senate report also revealed that internally, many officials early on were certain this was a terrorist attack. The report cited “two emails from the State Department Diplomatic Security Operations Center on the day of the attack, September 11, and the day after, September 12, 2012, characterized the attack as an ‘initial terrorism incident’ and as a ‘terrorist event.’” Moreover, as early as Sept. 15, the team that had been in Benghazi reported there has been no protest; the FBI also conducted face-to-face interviews with people who were in the compound during the attack and they reported there was no protest. So it is not new that there was no protest. That’s been officially well established. It is also not new that many officials knew it was a terrorist attack. What is new is that Hicks has put a human face on previous reporting. He also disclosed he spoke directly to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton the night of the attack, presumably relaying his conclusions. The hearings also revealed an e-mail written by Elizabeth Jones, the acting assistant secretary for Near Eastern Affairs, in which she recounted a conversation with the Libyan ambassador on Sept. 12: “When he said his government suspected that former Gadhafi regime elements carried out the attacks, I told him that the group that conducted the attacks Ansar Al Sharia is affiliated with Islamic extremists.” < http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...og.html > The whistle blower Hicks has also been demoted since he started speaking out about Benghazi. (Santorini @ May 21 2013,6:03 am) QUOTE the AP the IRS leaks purposely orchestrated by this administration. Just check into Lois lurner, IRS. Sorry, I know this is quite a long post. I apologize, I'm in a hurry. -- The head of the Internal Revenue Service’s tax-exempt organizations office, faced with allegations of improper targeting of conservative groups, told a House committee Wednesday that she has done nothing wrong but declined to answer questions, invoking her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. < http://www.washingtonpost.com/politic...ry.html > The Internal Revenue Service, apparently determined to get out ahead of an inspector general report critical of its handling of tax exemptions for Tea Party groups, came up with a plan: Lois Lerner, the official responsible for the tax-exempt division, would publicly apologize in response to a question at the American Bar Association conference in Washington. Details of the now-infamous planted question emerged Friday after acting IRS commissioner Steven Miller admitted the gambit under questioning from members of the House Ways and Means Committee. < http://www.usatoday.com/story...2216747 > --------- About Benghazi: According to Hicks, Clinton personally sent Stevens to Benghazi to open a permanent consulate by the end of the year. If true, this suggests Clinton is guilty of at the very least willful ignorance of the circumstances into which she sent Stevens. It also changes the moral obligation, if not the technical responsibility, to ensure appropriate security for what at that point was a largely CIA compound. It also calls into question whether the ARB was investigating or shifting blame for the fiasco, as The Hill reports: According to Stevens, Secretary Clinton wanted Benghazi converted into a permanent constituent post,” Hicks testified. “Timing for this decision [to visit the region on Sept. 11] was important. Chris needed to report before Sept. 30, the end of the fiscal year, on the … political and security environment in Benghazi.” He said Pickering appeared “surprised.” “I did tell the Accountability Review Board that Secretary Clinton wanted the post made permanent,” Hicks testified. “Ambassador Pickering looked surprised. He looked both ways … to the members of the board, saying, ‘Does the seventh floor [the secretary of State’s office] know about this?’ ” The ARB appears to have ignored Hicks’s statement in its public report. Instead, the board appeared to place responsibility on Stevens. “The Ambassador chose to travel to Benghazi that week, independent of Washington, as per standard practice,” the ARB concluded in its three pages of findings. < http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...hifting > ---------- The Red Cross and Britian had pulled out of Benghazi because of security concerns, it's ridiculous that we had anyone there, and it's even more ridiculous that the main security was local Benghazi people. It doesn't make sense that we only sent two reinforcement people to help after the attack started. There wasn't even an attempt to send more help. Worse than the AP thing is what the government is doing to James Rosen, this is kinda long, and I know this post is already long, so I apologize, but what is happening is BS, and should not be happening in America. Like I said before, things are not going to magically get better. -------------- Using italics for emphasis, Reyes explained how Rosen allegedly used a “covert communications plan” and quoted from an e-mail exchange between Rosen and Kim that seems to describe a secret system for passing along information. In the exchange, Rosen used the alias “Leo” to address Kim and called himself “Alex,” an apparent reference to Alexander Butterfield, the man best known for running the secret recording system in the Nixon White House, according to the affidavit. Rosen instructed Kim to send him coded signals on his Google account, according to a quote from his e-mail in the affidavit: “One asterisk means to contact them, or that previously suggested plans for communication are to proceed as agreed; two asterisks means the opposite.” < http://www.washingtonpost.com/local..._1.html > For cryingoutloud, why on earth would these two email each other this type of information? Fishy. Weird. The focus of the Post's report yesterday is that the DOJ's surveillance of Rosen, the reporter, extended far beyond even what they did to AP reporters. The FBI tracked Rosen's movements in and out of the State Department, traced the timing of his calls, and - most amazingly - obtained a search warrant to read two days worth of his emails, as well as all of his emails with Kim. In this case, said the Post, "investigators did more than obtain telephone records of a working journalist suspected of receiving the secret material." It added that "court documents in the Kim case reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist". -- Goodale, the New York Times' former general counsel, was interviewed by Democracy Now last week and said this: AMY GOODMAN: "You say that President Obama is worse than President Nixon. JAMES GOODALE: "Well, more precisely, I say that if in fact he goes ahead and prosecutes Julian Assange, he will pass Nixon. He's close to Nixon now. The AP example is a good example of something that Obama has done but Nixon never did. So I have him presently in second place, behind Nixon and ahead of Bush II. And he's moving up fast. . . . "Obama has classified, I think, seven million — in one year, classified seven million documents. Everything is classified. So that would give the government the ability to control all its information on the theory that it's classified. And if anybody asks for it and gets it, they're complicit, and they're going to go to jail. So that criminalizes the process, and it means that the dissemination of information, which is inevitable, out of the classified sources of that information will be stopped. < http://www.guardian.co.uk/comment...inality > Posted by MADDOG on May 23 2013,2:08 pm

Grinning Dragon, he entered Pakistan without it's consent or knowledge to kill Bin Laden. He's going after more whistle-blowers than all other presidents combined. He has the power to lock up American citizens and stripping them of their rights with no explanation needed, has already killed 4 American citizens in drone strikes, no explanation, no trial, without showing proof of guilt and wrote an EO granting himself the power to control pretty much everything whenever he sees fit.- He's not bowing to anyone, he doesn't appear to be a wuss, and he's only making himself and every future president more powerful.- As the last few presidents have been doing. SB, bigger debacles have been forgotten. Iran Contra Illegal invasion of Iraq And barely mentioned debacles Supplying Hussein with chemical/biological weapons, leading back to Reagan years. Supplying extremists with weapons, training and financing them, leading back to Reagan. Intentionally killing hundreds of thousands, most likely over a million innocent people. - Why? Because the leader had/used chemical biological weapons? The stuff we knew he had because we helped him get them, the stuff we let him use while he was useful to us? Or was it because he was in league with the extremists we helped fund, train and arm? It all gets a little foggy. Grassman: QUOTE We have been pissing a whole lot of different countries off. I freakin LOVE alternative news. This guy: David Rhodes was named President of CBS News in February 2011. < http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-18564_162-7329695/david-rhodes/ > And this guy: Ben Rhodes Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategic Communications and Speechwriting < http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/author/Ben%20Rhodes > Are brothers: < http://news.rice.edu/2011...bs-news > This woman: CBS News investigative correspondent Sharyl Attkisson, who has been out in front on the developing story about Benghazi and the administration's response, says she's "still learning new things" about the tragedy and the government's reaction. < http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=50146665n > Is saying this: "There's been an issue in my home and an issue with my computers," < http://www.businessinsider.com/sharyl-...-2013-5 > And then there's this: The second Goliath is CBS News, which has grown increasingly frustrated with Attkisson's Benghazi campaign. CBS News executives see Attkisson wading dangerously close to advocacy on the issue, network sources have told POLITICO. Attkisson can't get some of her stories on the air, and is thus left feeling marginalized and underutilized. That, in part, is why Attkisson is in talks to leave CBS ahead of contract, as POLITICO reported in April. < http://www.politico.com/blogs...96.html > Posted by Liberal on May 24 2013,12:44 am
Brothers? Well that's some big news there, sort of like your conspiracy theory where GM was going to make a killing in Minnesota with their advanced daytime running lights technology because the CEO of GM was from Mankato and so was the (Mankato)state rep that proposed it.How'd that conspiracy theory turn out for you? QUOTE Voters trust Clinton over GOP on Benghazi PPP's newest national poll finds that Republicans aren't getting much traction with their focus on Benghazi over the last week. Voters trust Hillary Clinton over Congressional Republicans on the issue of Benghazi by a 49/39 margin and Clinton's +8 net favorability rating at 52/44 is identical to what it was on our last national poll in late March. Meanwhile Congressional Republicans remain very unpopular with a 36/57 favorability rating. Voters think Congress should be more focused on other major issues right now rather than Benghazi. By a 56/38 margin they say passing a comprehensive immigration reform bill is more important than continuing to focus on Benghazi, and by a 52/43 spread they think passing a bill requiring background checks for all gun sales should be a higher priority. While voters overall may think Congress' focus should be elsewhere there's no doubt about how mad Republicans are about Benghazi. 41% say they consider this to be the biggest political scandal in American history to only 43% who disagree with that sentiment. Only 10% of Democrats and 20% of independents share that feeling. Republicans think by a 74/19 margin than Benghazi is a worse political scandal than Watergate, by a 74/12 margin that it's worse than Teapot Dome, and by a 70/20 margin that it's worse than Iran Contra. QUOTE Recall how officials briefed on intelligence told the Wall Street Journal: “The U.S. effort in Benghazi was at its heart a CIA operation,” and the State Department presence in Benghazi “provided diplomatic cover” to conceal weapon transfers from Libya to Syria. In addition, as Aaron Klein of kleinonline.com reported, “The U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, actually served as a meeting place to coordinate aid for the rebel-led insurgencies in the Middle East, according to Middle Eastern security officials ... Among the tasks performed inside the building was collaborating with Arab countries on the recruitment of fighters—including jihadists—to target Bashar al-Assad’s regime in Syria.” The so-called Benghazi mission or consulate as the Obama-Clinton regime described it to be was in reality a CIA outpost. < The Canada Free Press > reports of FOIA requests denied by the Obambina Family's secret police. You can however refer to it as the MANPAD program—Man-Portable-Air-Defense Systems or shoulder-fired-anti-aircraft missiles that the U.S. is “helping” Libya to recover and secure among its weapon stockpiles. Hmm, smoke and mirrors. carefully not answering direct questions.Yes, we have entered the smoke and mirror stage of the absurd by playing word games with the State Department now. Why is getting the status and inventory of Libya’s weapons recovery program so critical? Because arms from Libya have shown up in Syria. As the Wall Street Journal reported: “The U.S. effort in Benghazi was at its heart a CIA operation,” and the State Department presence in Benghazi “provided diplomatic cover” to conceal weapon transfers from Libya to Syria. Here's a possiblilty. If the press actually continues to pursue these issues with questions directed to Bambino during press conferences. More evidence is uncovered. Congress investigates further. It's the exact same thing as what happened in the Iran Contra hearings. It's the exact same as what happened with every hearing having to do with 9-11. Everyone in the administrations says "I don't know", "I don't recall", congress huffs and puffs, does some yelling, the administration people squirm, and the only thing that actually happens is some lower-level people take the blame.Congress throws their hands in the air and says "Not sufficient, but FINE" washes their hands and it's done. Some of We the People complain for awhile until the rest of We the People get tired of hearing about it and they tell us "Shut up you conspiracy kook, it's over with. It was a long time ago. What does any of this matter anymore." The next candidates point out some of the current administration flaws, and use them in their campaigns, and talk about how they'll "fix" everything. I remember a candidate talking about getting out of Iraq, Afghanistan, getting out of countries we have no business being in. He talked about closing Guantanamo, because what Guantanamo stands for and the things going on there aren't very "American". Did he do those things? Goodgod, most of the people locked up in Gitmo didn't even do anything wrong, and that has been proven. - The government just isn't letting them out.- Mainly they are afraid they've created more terrorists. Some of these people have been locked up for 11 years for godsakes. Away from their families. Locked up and forgotten. Absolutely no trial. That's how it goes in this country. No matter what party, no matter what the scandal. No matter what sorts of atrocities they commit. Posted by irisheyes on May 28 2013,4:02 am

There were a lot of military people and historians telling Bush and others how torture does not work. Torture is best for eliciting false testimony. People will say anything to make the torture stop. Whistle blowing translator Sibel Edmonds tried telling people that other translators were even giving false translations during "interrogations". She talked to the 911 Commission but they were not allowed to use, follow up on, or publish what she told them. The 911 Commission did however request the "interrogation" tapes from the CIA. The CIA destroyed the tapes so the commission never even got to see them. Other whistle-blowers have come out and said that the interrogations were only interested in finding links between Iraq and al-qaeda, and when they weren't getting anything they started using harsher methods. We just have to take the CIA's word for the information they got out of people, since the tapes are gone. As for the Geneva Convention, it seems the US government doesn't think it applies to them. When border agents were shot it was also blamed on Eric Holder and Obama. You know who were never blamed by the conservatives? The actual shooters. You'd spend hours trying to find a news source talking about the real killers and bringing them to justice, but you can be sure they were ready to tar and feather Eric Holder, Obama, and the ATF.Any news on the search for the people involved in the attack? Have the repubs on the oversight committee asked any questions about them? Do they really care, or are they busy asking about press releases and why Obama called it "an act of terror" as opposed to calling it an act of terrorISM. You know they say the more people involved..the less likely its a conspiracy There ARE innocents in Guantanamo. The 911 Commission was more than just "faulty" and even some of the commissioners themselves have said that their investigation was faulty. They've said the government was withholding information, evidence and trying to block certain things they tried to investigate. The CIA DID destroy tapes, that's even been mentioned in MSM. The CIA has admitted to it. The commission asked for these video tapes and instead of handing them over THEY DESTROYED THEM. Frack sand mining? When have I ever said frack sand mining is a "conspiracy"? I have said many times that fracking for natural gas is stupid and dangerous. I showed plenty of instances why also. And since this country very, very soon is going to be facing some pretty devastating troubles because of water shortages, then endangering the good water we do still have IS STUPID. It's more than stupid. There's not even a word to describe it. Our children and grandchildren have to deal with the messes we leave them, and THAT should be unacceptable to pretty much everyone. There are areas in the country that people get "warnings" about going outside at certain times because the air quality is so bad. And we just accept that? "Oh well, that's life"? Bullshiit. Realistically, our administration would have to be either idiots or conspiring with the enemy to be providing weapons to the Syrian rebels since the attacks on the Benghazi compound is linked to Al Qaeda and much of the rebel forces in Syria are also identified with Al Qaeda. So why were CIA operatives in large numbers in Libya on September 11? Why is the CIA involved in what one source calls an unprecedented attempt to keep the spy agency's Benghazi secrets from ever leaking out. QUOTE Up to 35 CIA operatives were working in the city during the attack last September on the US consulate that resulted in the death of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans, according to CNN. So, Obama was running guns from the Libyan armories we stocked for them to the al-Qaeda-affiliated rebels in Syria. The Libyan rebels were after the weapons. After the attack, all Obama had to do is sideline Hillary while his staff hit her over the head to briefed her. Take a trip to Walter Reed to silence the survivors and make up some story about a video. Just when the Whitehouse was starting to get the public to believe it was all a GOP conspiracy.
The circumstances of the attack are a subject of deep division in the US with some Congressional leaders pressing for a wide-ranging investigation into suspicions that the government has withheld details of its activities in the Libyan city. The television network said that a CIA team was working in an annex near the consulate on a project to supply missiles from Libyan armouries to Syrian rebels. Sources said that more Americans were hurt in the assault spearheaded by suspected Islamic radicals than had been previously reported. CIA chiefs were actively working to ensure the real nature of its operations in the city did not get out. < The Telegraph > Posted by alcitizens on Aug. 12 2013,4:23 pm

Obama has been doing well keeping everyone's attention on Congress and the shutdown, people tend to forget about his other failed steps.QUOTE < Benghazi investigators gave Hillary Clinton heads-up on findings > Retired Adm. Mike Mullen, vice chairman of the accountability review board, acknowledged that he warned Mrs. Clinton’s chief of staff not to send a particular official to Congress because “she would be a weak witness” who might hurt the State Department’s stance. “If this is so independent, why are you giving the State Department a heads-up about a witness coming in front of this committee?” said Rep. Jim Jordan, Ohio Republican. He said the warning came just days after Adm. Mullen had been appointed to the review board. Pat Smith, the mother of Sean said President Obama and his top aides came up to her at the casket ceremony when her son’s body was returned to the U.S. “Every one of them came up to me, gave me a big hug, and I asked them what happened. Please tell me. And every one of them said it was the video. And we all know that it wasn’t the video. Even at that time they knew it wasn’t the video. So they all lied to me,” she said. Also Thursday, Rep. Darrell E. Issa, California Republican and chairman of the oversight committee, said he has signed subpoenas to demand testimony from two witnesses who he said talked to the review board but whom the State Department has refused to allow to talk to Congress. QUOTE < Issa: Benghazi attack result of Hillary Clinton’s reckless, ill-advised ‘war on terror’ policies > Responsibility for the September 11 Benghazi assault and the deaths of four U.S. citizens — including Libyan ambassador Chris Stevens — lies personally at the feet of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, according to California Republican Rep. Darrell Issa. “The investigation really is now not about what we know, but about how we can prevent abuse of security before the fact, how we respond during the fact, and how we hold people accountable after the fact for deliberate misinformation — if you want to be kind — [and] outright lies, if not,” said Issa, who serves as head of the Oversight and Government reform committee. Clinton recklessly pursued an ill-advised policy of “normalization” meant to make the U.S. look like it was winning the war on terror, dividing the State and Defense Departments. The rift between the two weakened cooperation — the full weight of assets that the U.S. could have deployed to help the Americans stranded in the consulate were not dispatched, since the State department did not want to involve military forces for the sake of appearances, Issa said. I know some will say, look at the media source. I think that article likely says it all. Hillary seems to be building more problems in North Africa. Every little thing that could bite her in her bulbous bxxx in 2016. QUOTE < Hillary Clinton Facing Criminal Charges Over Muslim Brotherhood Connection >
(W)hilst continuing her attempts to prevent national exposure of her role in the deaths of four Americans in Benghazi, she could now be facing criminal charges in Egypt, over her known Muslim Brotherhood connections and her collusion with the wife of ousted Egyptian President Muhammad Morsi to incite violent revolution in the north African nation. The numerous known ties between the Obama administration and the Muslim Brotherhood – none of which have been revealed in the American mainstream media – were destined to be exposed during this process. Those ties include: 1) Barack Obama’s half-brother, Malik Obama, has been implicated in fund-raising operations for a known terrorist organization and is said to be involved in the management of funds for the Muslim Brotherhood. These connections were previously explored in an August article in the Guardian Liberty Voice. 2) Mohamed Elibiary, who has made no secret of the fact that he is an Islamist and Muslim Brotherhood supporter, is a member of the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Security Advisory Council. He was appointed to that position in September, 2010. He is not the only person linked to the Muslim Brotherhood who holds an influential position within the US government. 3) Iranian-born Huma Abedin, who is a close friend of Hillary Rodham Clinton and her former Chief of Staff, has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. Saleha Abedin, Huma’s mother, has been identified as one of the leaders of the Muslim Sisterhood. Huma Abedin is also the wife of former Democratic Congressman and failed New York mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner. Posted by MADDOG on Apr. 02 2014,8:53 am
We'll see how well Michael Morell does at today's hearing on Capital Hill today as he's pressed to recount his past comments and actions to the Senate and House or face possible perjury charges.QUOTE < CIA Station Chief Confirms Administration's Benghazi Lies > Before the administration told the world the false narrative of the attack on our compound, the CIA's station chief in Libya pointedly told his superiors in Washington that no spontaneous demonstration occurred. We didn't need any more proof that the president of the United States, Barack Obama, his secretary of state, Hillary Clinton, and his United Nations ambassador, Susan Rice, repeatedly and deliberately lied to the American people. They told the public that the terrorist attack on our Benghazi diplomatic mission was a spontaneous demonstration that went rogue in response to an Internet video. We will nonetheless get more proof on Wednesday from acting CIA Director Mike Morell. He is scheduled to give his first public testimony on the Benghazi attack at a hearing of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Morell's public testimony comes a day after the CIA's top officer on the ground in Libya at the time of the Benghazi terrorist attack appeared before a House panel for the first time. In closed-door testimony, he confirmed the attack was "not an escalation of protests." Morell received that message in Washington, D.C., in an email on Sept. 15, 2012. It was the day before Rice went on five Sunday talk shows to spread the false video narrative. QUOTE < Former CIA deputy director to testify > Members of the House Intelligence Committee held a classified session Tuesday with the CIA’s former Libya station chief, whose assessment that there had been no protest leading before the Benghazi terrorist attacks was left out of the Obama administration’s talking points used on national television. While the CIA would neither confirm nor deny the session on Capitol Hill, other sources familiar with the development told The Washington Times that committee members sought the station chief’s perspective on the talking points ahead of a long-anticipated public hearing Wednesday — during which former Deputy CIA Director Michael J. Morell is slated to testify. Lawmakers say the hearing will delve into why Mr. Morell and other agency officials in Washington did not include the station chief’s assessments in claims by then-U.N. Ambassador Susan E. Rice to assert during several news talk shows that the Benghazi attacks grew out of a protest over an anti-islam video. Let's speculate a fifth plea. More from Blood FeudQUOTE By 10 p.m. on Sept. 11, 2012, when Hillary Clinton received a call from President Obama, she was one of the most thoroughly briefed officials in Washington on the unfolding disaster in Benghazi, Libya.
She knew that Ambassador Christopher Stevens and a communications operator were dead, and that the attackers had launched a well-coordinated mortar assault on the CIA annex, which would cost the lives of two more Americans. She had no doubt that a terrorist attack had been launched against America on the anniversary of 9/11. However, when Hillary picked up the phone and heard Obama’s voice, she learned the president had other ideas in mind. With less than two months before Election Day, he was still boasting that he had al Qaeda on the run. If the truth about Benghazi became known, it would blow that argument out of the water. “Hillary was stunned when she heard the president talk about the Benghazi attack,” one of her top legal advisers said in an interview. “Obama wanted her to say that the attack had been a spontaneous demonstration triggered by an obscure video on the Internet that demeaned the Prophet Mohammed.” This adviser continued: “Hillary told Obama, ‘Mr. President, that story isn’t credible. Among other things, it ignores the fact that the attack occurred on 9/11.’ But the president was adamant. He said, ‘Hillary, I need you to put out a State Department release as soon as possible.’” After her conversation with the president, Hillary called Bill Clinton, who was at his penthouse apartment in the William J. Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock, and told him what Obama wanted her to do. “I’m sick about it,” she said, according to the legal adviser, who was filled in on the conversation. “That story won’t hold up,” Bill said. “I know,” Hillary said. “I told the president that.” “It’s an impossible story,” Bill said. “I can’t believe the president is claiming it wasn’t terrorism. Then again, maybe I can. It looks like Obama isn’t going to allow anyone to say that terrorism has occurred on his watch.” Posted by Liberal on Jun. 24 2014,10:30 am

QUOTE The House Intelligence Committee is among the many congressional panels to investigate the deadly attack on the U.S. outpost in Benghazi in 2012, and its findings are reportedly complete. The committee’s report is not yet available, but Rep. Mike Thompson (D-Calif.) talked to the San Francisco Chronicle about the results of the inquiry.
The House Intelligence Committee, led by Republicans, has concluded that there was no deliberate wrongdoing by the Obama administration in the 2012 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans, said Rep. Mike Thompson of St. Helena, the second-ranking Democrat on the committee. […] Thompson said the report “confirms that no one was deliberately misled, no military assets were withheld and no stand-down order (to U.S. forces) was given.” The committee agreed Thursday to declassify its report, nearly two years in the making, and the findings will reportedly be available to the public once it’s cleared by intelligence agencies. Just so we’re clear, this is a Republican-led committee, with GOP members outnumbering Democrats, 12 to 9. And according to the Chronicle’s report, the committee’s findings are consistent with everything reality has told us all along: “There was no ‘stand-down order’ given to American personnel attempting to offer assistance that evening, no illegal activity or illegal arms transfers occurring by U.S. personnel in Benghazi, and no American was left behind.” < http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-...rists-0 > Posted by Expatriate on Aug. 04 2014,5:59 pm

QUOTE < Accuracy In Media > August 12, 2014
Over and over again, Ambassador Stevens, his Regional Security Officer (RSO) Eric Nordstrom, and others warned that they were increasingly at risk and pleaded for additional security resources. Instead, security methodically was stripped away from Benghazi. The Blue Mountain security outfit (with links to both MI 6 and the CIA) hired to guard the SMC was unarmed, according to Nordstrom—on State Department orders. RSO Nordstrom warned on 21 July that the risk to U.S. officials in Libya was “High.” Gen. Ham either knew or should have known all of this, too. If none of this was “imminent” or “specific” enough, it got worse. Cairo Embassy next door in Egypt had been monitoring Gama’at al-Islamiyya and Muslim Brotherhood plans to stage a big protest on September 11 to demand the release from U.S. federal prison of the Blind Sheikh (who’s serving a life sentence for directing the 1993 World Trade Center attack). By 10 September, however, the State Department knew that the focus in Cairo had switched over to an amateur YouTube video about the life of Muhammad. The warning went out to the White House, Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, AFRICOM, and diplomatic posts across the Muslim world that anger was building over that video and that the 9/11 anniversary would be an explosive one. Everyone went to an elevated alert status no later than the morning of 11 September 2012. Gen. Ham, along with all the other combatant commanders (who, inexplicably, had been called to the Pentagon for a meeting that 9/11, instead of being at their posts), undoubtedly knew this, too. In fact, he was the one who had to give the elevated alert order to AFRICOM. The final—and extremely specific—warning came from al-Qa’eda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri, who issued an explicit attack order in a videotaped message posted to jihadi websites on 10 September 2012. That message called on Libyans to attack Americans in revenge for the CIA drone killing of his deputy, Abu Yahya al-Libi, some months before. There could hardly have been a more explicit warning that American interests in Libya were being targeted for attack by al-Qa’eda in conjunction with the 9/11 anniversary date. This, too, Gen. Ham either knew or should have known. It was his professional responsibility to know. All of which leaves us with the unwelcome realization that Gen. Carter Ham has been either exceptionally forgetful, exceptionally oblivious, or less than fully truthful in his Congressional testimony and public statements about what he knew about Benghazi and when he knew it. It falls to Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) and his Select Committee on Benghazi to subpoena the General and ask him under oath a number of very specific questions. Americans will be watching. Which is fine, but it seems to make my point that people don't want to discuss the real issues. How about this, what would you do if you were POTUS for the remainder of the term? Remember, it has to pass a Republican House and a Democrat Senate. As for the budget, scaling back the wars along with ending some of the Bush tax cuts has helped. The O'Reilly interview with Panetta is still rehashing the same storyline with a new twist, a few guys selling a book cite an unnamed CIA official, and clearly Obama and the director of CIA are to blame according to O'Reilly. Not only is the attack a gate, but the suffix the President used the day after is a scandal; act of terror instead of terrorIST. < http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SeVEUNI-Cuo > ^Can you imagine the outrage if the media and Democrats in Congress would have attacked Bush over the wording he used above, and if John Kerry would have counted how long it took for him to say the word "terrorIST" instead of "act of terror"?
