haven't seen that many finches this year at all. a very scant few of the male gold ones maybe earlier in the season. . . that's it. .
saw various large flocks of robins a few weeks back here and there. have usually only seen that in the spring.
and have noticed a larger than normal amount of blue jays this year. . .
a fairly decent amount of BALD EAGLE sightings as well. . .
last year ran into a pretty big group of red headed woodpeckers over in the more southwest part of the state. . that was certainly a standout event. . rarely see them period.
will look at house finches closer now though. . to see if they are indeed purple finches. . .
